Material: African Blackwood (Ziguangtan)

Pattern: Orchid

Length: 7.09 in (approx. 18 cm)

Width: 0.31 in (approx. 0.8 cm)

Design Highlights:

  • Mother-of-Pearl Inlay Craftsmanship: An ancient traditional mosaic art. Artisans polish shells like abalone or sea snails into thin pieces, using their natural, iridescent, shifting colors to cut and inlay them onto wood or lacquer surfaces for a dreamlike visual effect.

  • Orchid Pattern: In traditional culture, the orchid symbolizes nobility, elegance, resilience, and a quiet, unworldly grace. Incorporating it into accessories or hairpin designs perfectly showcases a restrained, refined, and ethereal aesthetic.

How to Use

  • Prep Your Hair: Brush your hair back smoothly. You can gather all of it up or leave a few strands loose to create a relaxed, effortless look.

  • Twist into a Bun: Gather all your hair together, twist it clockwise or counterclockwise, and coil it into a secure or loose hair bun.

  • Secure with the Pin:

    • Insert the hairpin downward at an angle from the upper right side of the bun.

    • Let the tip gently touch the skin (or outer layer of hair near the scalp), then level out the angle slightly and weave it through the center of the bun close to the scalp.

    • Finally, push it out through the lower left side of the bun to lock the hair securely in place.
